Hiroto Hakamada and Jane Queally
Friday May 23rd 7pm featuring Japanese artist Hiroto Hakamada based in Spiddal and local artist Jane Queally. Both artists display work varying in nature and medium, but equally organic in production and conception. Hakamada’s sources the raw materials locally for each piece, which works as a metaphor to influence the meaning of the artwork. Queally’s work is influenced by aspects of urban and rural environments and landscape where they converge on the coastline. Her work is concerned with a personal investigation into colour, light, form and formlessness.
